Lahaul Valley Tour Package

4 Days

Lahaul Valley is a high-altitude Himalayan region in Himachal Pradesh, serving as the western half of the Lahaul & Spiti district. Since the opening of the Atal Tunnel in 2020, this once snow-locked “Southern Country” (ancient name Garzha) has become a year-round destination, located just ~33–50 km from Manali. Referred as Layul meaning, “Valley of mountains & Glaciers” for its rugged, snow-capped landscapes. Historically cut off for six months a year by heavy snow at Rohtang Pass, it is now accessible year-round through the Atal Tunnel, which connects it to Manali in just about an hour.
The valley is a blend of stark mountain deserts, lush green terrace farms, and deep spiritual heritage.
Keylong: The district headquarters and a central hub for accommodation and local markets.
Sissu: The first major village after the Atal Tunnel, famous for the scenic Sissu Waterfall and Sissu Lake.
Jispa: A picturesque village on the Bhaga River, popular for riverside camping and its large, dry riverbed. Monasteries (Gompas): Home to significant spiritual sites including Kardang Monastery (the largest), Guru Ghantal (the oldest), and Shashur Gompa.
Temples: The Trilokinath Temple (sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists) and the wood-carved Mrikula Devi Temple in Udaipur.

Lahaul has four valleys: the Tinan, Pattan, Gahar & Tod & Miyar Valley, and further on, the Chenab Valley.
Tinan Valley is a serene, high-altitude valley characterized by rugged mountains, deep gorges, and rustic villages near Gondhla. It is a hidden, offbeat destination known for its intense scenery, ancient sites like Gondhla Fort, and the historic Guru Ghantal
Pattan Valley, home to the towns of Udaipur and Triloknath, is renowned for their unique wooden temples and a blend of Hindu and Buddhist cultures.
Miyar Valley stretches over 75 km from Udaipur to the great Kang La. Miyar Nala, as it is often known, with the Miyar River running down from the snout of Kang la glacier into the Chenab River for almost 50 km.
Gahar Valley (also known as Bhaga Valley) is a scenic region located near Keylong, spanning from Tandi to Stingri. Known for its rich tribal culture, it is famous for hosting traditional winter festivals like Gochi and Halda, which celebrate community, new beginnings, and traditional archery. The area is accompanied by the “Lady of Keylong” peak and offers views of glaciers
The Tod Valley (or Bhaga Valley) is a scenic high-altitude valley extending from Darcha to Sarchu to Yoche. Known for its dramatic landscapes, frozen waterfalls, and snowy winds.
